Catch Up Time-Halloween

Things have been really busy since I went back to work on November 2. I'm sorry I haven't updated the blog in a really long time...time seems to fly past me every night. Here are pictures of our Halloween Bunny. Dublyn laughed every time we put the costume on her, especially the ears. Too much fun! She lasted about an hour as a bunny and helped pass out candy, but then the bunny needed some pjs. Also posting a couple more pictures from the pumpkin patches.

Badger Baby

Dublyn has officially become a Badger fan. She has the outfit and wears it every Saturday, but now she is a Fifth Quarter fan. Her new favorite songs are "On Wisconsin" and "The Bud Song". There are lots of smiles and giggles when we sing the songs or we hear them on TV. I guess it's time to buy the UW Band CD!

4 Month Update

Dublyn went to the doctor for her 4 month appointment last Tuesday. She now weighs 12 lbs 3 oz and is 23 1/4 inches long. She also had another round of vaccines that Brad got to be a part of with me. Not a fun time!

Our living room and basement are starting to be overrun with baby toys and "gear". We tried out several new toys this week including her "planet" and the Bumbo chair. Dublyn is always trying to sit up by herself so these two toys are exactly what she wants right now. She is also learning to eat from a spoon which is a total mess. Dublyn wants to "help" by holding the spoon. You can tell by the pictures how well this is going!

Here are some of the latest pictures! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the fall weather!

3 Month Pictures

We had Dublyn's pictures done in early September, which turned out great. Who would have known we had a little ham on our hands?! These are some of our favorites.

More Pictures

Just found more pictures from our trip. Thought I would share some more! (All you bloggers...how do I rotate the pictures? It's driving me crazy!)

Catch up time

So...it's been awhile since I have updated this blog. We were in Wisconsin for 3 weeks and Dublyn got to meet all of her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is one lucky girl to have so many friends and family! Dublyn also learned what it means to be a Packer fan. She went to Packer training camp and Lambeau Field. There are no pictures of her in her Packer outfit since it only lasted until 8:30 in the morning. We'll try again and hope for better results (aka no more Blow Outs at Lambeau).

Dubs also had her first round of vaccinations when we returned. We happily survived the days after the shots with a little help from Infant Tylenol.

It is amazing to us how quickly she goes and changes. We don't always recognize it until we look at the pictures but it is really fun to see her change. Here are a bunch of pictures from our trip.

Party Girl

On July 12, we went to our friends Jeff and Jenny's wedding in Columbus. Here are a couple of pictures of our party girl. Not a whole lot of sleep happened that day for Dublyn and she stayed up until 12:30 AM with Tawnya and me! She was too interested in the lights on the dance floor ceiling and all of the great music the djs played.

Doctor Update

Dublyn had her 6 week visit at the doctor last week. She is healthy and doing great. Dublyn weighs 9 pounds 8 ounces (35th percentile) and is now 20 3/4 inches long. I was excited that she grew an inch, however, she is only in the 15th percentile for her height. The doctor seemed to think she needed to reassure me that this was fine. My response was that height is on neither side of the family and Dublyn was not going to become a basketball star when she became older! Totally fine by us! She's going to be a swimmer anyway.

She is starting to smile more and she is cooing. Dublyn especially likes her changing table in her room! This is where we get the most "talking" from her (yes, the special ed teacher in me is looking for the best environment for interaction!). She changes so much every day. Dublyn's eyes are still really blue and her hair is getting lighter (no, most of it has not fallen out..we still have most of the hair she had at birth). It is starting to seem wavy when it is wet so she may have curly hair instead of my stick straight hair. I had to start changing out her clothes since some of the newborn clothes are getting to small for her. Again, hard to believe because she is such a peanut.

Hopefully I can add some more pictures soon. Somehow the time I thought I would have to blog disappears most days!
